Cleve has also studied Vinyasa Yoga with Jared McCann.

Originally from Opelousas, LA (Go Ragin Cajuns!), Alan has been teaching Yoga for over 7 years. Drawing from a background in dance and sports, Alan brings a special emphasis on form and muscle alignment to his yoga practice. Outside of the studio, Alan loves the B52’s, his husband of nearly 29 years, all animals and margaritas! Alan’s favorite posture (used as a barometer of how his day is progressing) is standing forehead to knee!
As a youth, Ayodele was exposed to many forms of ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practices. On a particular visit from college, her mother took her to a hot yoga class. Less than 20 minutes into the practice, while standing there, hot as all else, something clicked. It was like magic and she never looked backed. Beginning with a Hatha Raja practice, then moving to Bikram yoga, Ayodele has completed multiple trainings, and workshops, most recently including Core26+ and Thef Neteru Sema Paut.
The precision, elegance, and simplicity inherent in the Bikram yoga discipline is what drew Cathy to the practice in 2007, and what still keeps her immersed in it over a decade later -- both as a student and as an instructor. Having made the change from litigation attorney to yoga instructor, she completed teacher training in 2010, obtaining supplemental certification from advanced instructor Tony Sanchez in 2014. To this day, she still sees that high level of determination and excellence from every student in each class she teaches, and within herself for every class she takes. Although this is a type of practice which demands one's full attention and commitment throughout the class, it's also a yoga discipline that is completely accessible to every single person -- irrespective of age, body type, or level of fitness. Whatever you are able to do in any given class, you will always be the better for having done it.
Janet first walked into the hot room about 15 years ago – and never looked back. Her approach to the yoga has changed from an effective form of exercise to a lifestyle choice. Janet finds peace in the hot room and feels better prepared to face life’s daily challenges after a hot and sweaty Bikram class.
Janet believes in the power of the dialogue – and her classes reflect this. The dialogue has everything you need for a safe and meaningful practice. The key is to listen... which can be very challenging at times. As is often said in class the 26 postures are the same but you are different every time you walk into the hot room. Focus, concentration and listening are key in Janet’s classes.
At the age of 50 Janet decided to take a break from her corporate life and attend teacher training in Thailand. Soon after successful completion of the 9 week training course she returned to corporate life and her consistent practice but with an even deeper understanding and appreciation for the Bikram series. Three years later Janet decided to give teaching a try and is proud to be leading classes at SHY – where she began her practice.
For years, off and on, Deb worked in the film industry in Atlanta doing set design and camera operation.
Deb received her Bikram Yoga certification in Spring, 2003.
Mary began her Hot Yoga practice in 2006, while living in Fort Worth Texas. In the beginning, it was the physical challenge that was most attractive. However, as her practice evolved, she began to understand and appreciate the slow, peaceful, meditative quality of yoga. It was the connection she experienced between her mind and body that became the primary reward. She especially enjoyed the release she felt on many different levels.
After many years of practice, and in an effort to deepen her own yoga practice, she participated in a six-month Teacher Training and Apprenticeship Program with Radiance Bikram Yoga. She began teaching in February of 2014 and strongly believes that the best teachers remain life-long students.
Sandy strives to teach a calm, focused and compassionate class from beginning to end, providing her students quiet reassurance and space to find their inner yogi. She obtained a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in early childhood development in 2004 and has been a professional nanny in the Atlanta area since 2006. Yoga has always been a passion for her and so she decided to take that passion to the next level by attending Bikram Yoga teacher training in Phuket, Thailand in Fall 2014. She hopes all students who come to this yoga will learn and understand not just the how’s but also the why’s of the Bikram series. It is a brilliant sequence accessible to anyone willing to try. She encourages you to show up on your mat and trust the process.
I received my yoga teacher certification by completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Peachtree Yoga where I studied various forms of yoga with an emphasis on Vinyasa and Yin style. During my time at Peachtree Yoga, in addition to Asana practice, I studied Pranayama, meditation and elements of yoga philosophy which are incorporated in my classes.
I initially became interested in practicing yoga to help manage life’s stresses while pursuing an acting career. When I began to experience all the healthy benefits of yoga and noticed how much my yoga process helped me develop a stronger sense of presence and mindfulness in my art as well as other aspects of my life, I soon felt a longing to share my yoga practice with others. As soon as I graduated from the 200 hour Teacher Training, I immediately began teaching “Yoga For Actors” classes at The Robert Mello Studio, specifically designed for creative types and geared towards easing stresses of any lifestyle.
I enjoy creating customized themed yoga classes based on the specific needs of my students. I currently teach yoga for Kaiser Permanente and I teach a variety of classes at several yoga studios around Atlanta. My favorite styles of yoga to teach are Vinyasa and Yin style. Every class I teach is aimed to improve the physical body, refine the mind, and cultivate a peaceful spirit.
I am delighted to offer Yin classes at Still Hot. I believe practicing Yin is a wonderful compliment to Bikram Yoga. In my meditative Yin classes, we practice holding deep stretches for 3-5 minutes as we focus on relaxing the muscles so we can apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body, thereby increasing mobility and circulation. As we practice each pose, I read thought provoking quotes and encourage deep inward exploration.
Blanche has completed teacher trainings in vinyasa, ashtanga, and yin yoga. She has studied with Jared McCann, David Swenson, Erinn Lewis, Mary Jarvis, Afton Carraway, Gianna Purcell, and Kathy Durham. Her classes focus on breath and finding stillness while encouraging students to bring curiosity and playfulness to challenge themselves in different ways with their practice.
SHY founder and former owner Eric Jennings practices and teaches yoga in the style and method originated by Bishnu Ghosh, acclaimed Indian physical culturist. He holds certifications from Ghosh Yoga College of India (2016), Yogic Physical Culture Academy (2013) and Bikram Yoga, Inc. (2001).
Eric recently moved to Oakland, CA but he still likes to teach when he visits Atlanta.

"Bikram Yoga helps me mentally, find relief and clearer thinking after I take a class. I feel more aware and creative for music. After touring in the U.S or overseas, coming home and getting into that hot room is what I look so forward to doing-- aligning my body again. Overall it centers me where I like to be. Find me on Instagram @biters"
"This studio has many different teachers, each of whom brings their own approach to practice and each has an area of interest that they stress in particular postures. I have greatly improved my fitness and have lost more than 25 pounds with this practice."
