The Sniff Test

The Sniff Test

I’m posting this as a Hot Tip, which it is, but it would also be fair to call it a public service announcement. Controlling odor in a Bikram Yoga studio is always a challenge but it’s impossible to do without everyone’s cooperation. One thing that we all can do for each other is to de-odorize ourselves before coming into the yoga room. And by “de-odorize” I do not refer to the common practice of masking body odor with other smelly stuff (deodorant, perfume or cologne, mainly). I am speaking of removing odor of any kind from one’s body by showering or, at least, washing one’s armpits before class.

Your fellow practitioners thank you. And, you’re welcome (I always make sure I pass the armpit sniff test before class and, believe me, you appreciate it).

If you stop every time a dog barks, your road will never end. If you wish the dog to follow you, feed him. A dog has four feet, but he can't walk four different paths. The barking of a dog does not disturb the man on a camel. Woof.
